Kari Barba began her career as a tattoo artist in 1979. As a world-renowned artist, she has won over 500 awards. A few of her accolades include a “Lifetime Achievement” award, as well as a “Best Tattoo Artist” award, which she has won three times, twice nationally, and once internationally. Kari has owned and operated tattoo studios since 1983. She currently owns the oldest tattoo shop in America, Outer Limits Tattoo, located in Long Beach, CA, with a second location in Costa Mesa, CA. Kari is a judge at the annual Mondial du Tatouage festival in Paris, alongside fellow tattoo legends Filip Leu, Luke Atkinson, Bill Salmon, and Mark Mahoney.
